Michael Zukerman - Non-Executive Chairman
Born on 3 October 1946, Michael holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Technion Institute. After serving as a system analyst in the armed forces, resigning at the rank of Major, he co-founded Pilat during 1974.
At Pilat he served in various roles including CEO and Chairman, and also established Pilat's operations outside of Israel.
Michael also co-founded the software house SPL Israel where he was the CEO and then a board member. Michael is the co-founder of Israel's leading fringe theater - Tmuna, and the owner and CEO of a flour mill - Zukerman & Co Flour Mill.
David Sapiro - Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer
Born on 6 September 1962, David Sapiro, a Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Engineer, is the Chief Executive Officer of Pilat Technologies International Ltd. He has spent most of his career at the interface between technology and Human Capital Management – leading innovations in the application of computer systems to improved HR practice.
David has previous held roles as Director of Information Systems for a UK public company and Regional Director for Asia for a worldwide consulting group where he established new companies in India and China. David had an eclectic education - studying Engineering, Physics and Psychology at Cambridge University and Artificial Intelligence and Architecture in Edinburgh.
Chaim Helfgott - Executive Director, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel
Born on 12 June 1947, Chaim Helfgott is a member of both the Israeli and US Bar Associations, has a solid background in finance, accounting, banking and law. He holds an LLB from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a MCL from the University of Illinois , a LLM from the University of Michigan and a MA in Applied Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
During 1971-1975, Mr. Helfgott practiced law in Israel and during 1978-1987, he practiced corporate and banking law in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. During 1987-1992, he was the Executive Vice President of Allied Bank International, an International Bank with offices in New York City.
In 1996, Mr. Helfgott joined Pilat Technologies International as its CFO, a position he held until 2005. In addition, Mr. Helfgott has been serving as the Company's Executive Director, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel since 1996.
Trevor Toolan - Non-Executive Director
Born on 16 May 1941, Trevor holds a BSc FIPD and spent over 10 years with Inbucon AIC management consultants after an early career as a research chemist. He specialized in the area of Human Resources and had many major International companies as clients.
He then joined British Leyland where he was Human Resources director of the Land Rover Group and later he moved to British Rail where he was Group Managing Director, Human Resources.
Trevor joined Pilat UK Limited in 1991 where he was instrumental in the successful expansion of the start up business in the UK and Europe. He retired from Pilat in 2005.
Dr. Batami Sadan - Independent, Non- Executive, External Director
Born on 9 October 1942, Batami holds a Ph.D. in Medical Ethics and Informatics as well as MSc in Business Administration (Information Systems).
Batami's major expertise is in both Information Technology (IT) Management, Medical Informatics. She has several publications on these subjects.
Her current activities include acting as Co-founder and CEO of Vaica Medical as well as CEO and Chairperson board of Directors of NexSig.
Dr. Sadan joined Pilat Technologies International to serve as an Non-Executive Independent, External Director (as the term is defined in the Israeli Companies Law) for a period of three years commencing on April 18 2006.
Amir Shomroni - Independent, Non- Executive , External Director
Born on 3 June 1946, Mr. Shomroni joined Pilat Technologies International to serve as a Non-Executive Independent, External Director (as the term is defined in the Israeli Companies Law) for a period of three years commencing on July 31 2007.
Holds an MBA and a BSc degree in Industrial and Management Engineering as well as Several FAA educational programs in Airport Engineering and in Civil Aviation in several USA academic institutions.
Amir founded and managed a large-scale management consulting company, initiated and managed several development projects and companies, in Israel as well as in USA and Europe. He headed several major international aviation projects, and served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Israel Transportation Institute for and Planning and Research and was a member of the management of the Israel Airport Authority in the position of Deputy Director General for Planning and Development.
Mr. Shomroni joined Pilat Technologies International to serve as a Non-Executive, Independent, External Director (as the term is defined in the Israeli Companies Law) for a period of three years commencing on July 31 2007.
