BACKGROUND
Multi-rater feedback (360 Assessment) is widely accepted as a powerful tool for leveraging behavior change and performance improvement. However, the debate still rages as to whether it should be used only for development and/or for assessment. Unfortunately, many organisations have been prevented from making that choice and benefiting from Multi-rater Feedback by the set-up cost and/or cost associated with processing even small numbers of potential feedback recipients.

Now, there is a solution:360 Classic SM

360 Classic SM is a best of breed bureau service, yet designed to serve organisations looking to have 1 to a few hundred people experience multi-rater feedback. A number of proven questionnaires are available to choose from or, for a very small set-up fee, we can load your own questionnaire.

Conducted via the Internet using an intuitive web interface, Pilat handles most of the communication with feedback recipients and their providers, and virtually all of the administration.

Pilat does require a commitment that you will ensure that the feedback process within your organisation is professionally handled (any anonymity and/or confidentiality guarantees offered are strictly honored), and that people are guided to make effective use of the feedback. Too many times, such processes are abused and we are committed to organisations that seek successful outcomes.

IT’S THIS EASY!
You will be assigned an Account Manager who will advise you on the process and make everything happen for you – we do the work!

Once individuals are launched into the process,

  • The system sends each intended feedback recipient (Participant) a ‘Launch’ e-mail. This confirms their participation, provides some instructions, and includes a ‘Click through’ URL address and unique username and a password (which they can change).
  • Each Participant accesses the web-site, changes the password, completes a self assessment, and nominates her/his chosen providers (It is recommended that they seek advice if not approval form their manager prior to entering these details).
  • The system sends each nominated feedback provider (Provider) a ‘Provider’ e-mail. This advises them of the process and that their feedback is sought and valued, provides some instructions, and includes a ‘Click through’ URL address and unique username and a password (which they can change).
  • Each Provider accesses the web-site, changes the password (if not already done; they may also be a Participant or have previously provided feedback), and provides the feedback sought.
  • Targeted ‘Chaser’ e-mails are sent to encourage active participation.
  • At the end of the timeline, a combined report and simple workbook is produced and sent to the individual or the project manager (as agreed with your Account Manager).
  • An invoice for $175 is raised for each individual signed-up (Sorry!).

There are three standard questionnaires available:

  • strategic management
  • middle management
  • individual contributors.

THE REPORT
The 360 Classic report is a complete workbook. Feedback is presented in a variety of ways to suit individual preferences and feedback patterns. Explanations are included for those not familiar with this type of feedback. The workbook provides a proven structure for working with the feedback for those needing assistance. Supported by clear explanations, the report presents the feedback in the following sections:

  • Behavior Ranking
    (Items ranked from perceived strengths to potential limitations)
  • Gaps In Perceptions
    (Shows where gaps exist and the behaviors that appear to create these)
  • Competencies
    (Summary ratings at overall Competency level)
  • Comments
    (The supporting narrative)
  • Detailed Ratings
    (Tabulation of raw data for reference)
